Wu is divorced with one child. During his divorce between 2014-2016, his mother sued him for funds borrowed to purchase real estate during his marriage. In China, marriage law stipulates that assets cannot be split in a divorce if debts exist. The judge found signs that mother/son edited the loan agreements multiple times without the knowledge of his ex-wife. Wu and his mother apparently colluded to cheat his ex-wife out of a fair division of assets in their divorce.

斗地主的武大师, 解惑大师武亚瑄, real name 武亚瑄 or 武亚翾, known to international fans as Master Wu or Grifter Wu after his past history was revealed. He lives in 嘉兴 Jiaxing, 浙江 Zhejiang.

History of Fraud

Wu first became known in the fandom as a "righteous bystander" vocally supporting Li Xuezheng. On December 4, Wu made a post on Weibo claiming to be the descendent of high-ranking CCP members and that he grew up across the street from "grandpa Deng," understood to mean Deng Xiaoping. At the times, fans largely took him at his word and believed his claims about his background and education (Tsinghua University).

The phone number that was used to register Wu's Weibo accounts matches to a WeChat account that also belongs to him, as well as the companies listed in his Weibo profile.

Education

Wu's Weibo account profile lists him as a graduate of Tsinghua University and he has also spoken of himself as a graduate of Tsinghua on multiple Weibo posts in December 2021.

However, on the same Weibo account, Wu made a post in April 2022 claiming to be a graduate of Peking University. When questioned about the inconsistency, he claimed that he has an EMBA from Tsinghua, despite the fact that his profile lists him as a graduate of Tsinghua School of Physical Education. His name is not listed in Tsinghua alumni database, which was shown to list EMBA graduates from over ten years ago. The Peking University bed sheet he posted is actually from Peking University Experimental School, a school serving students in grades K-12.

Wu's LinkedIn and Zhihu profiles list him as a graduate of 太原科技大学大专 Taiyuan University of Science and Technology (professional certificate).

Career

In 2015, at the height of the hype of Theranos, Wu and his father applied for a patent involving a device that uses vacuum technology to draw blood without breaking skin for blood sugar testing. Neither of them have medical degrees. The patent is now expired.

Wu's Weibo profile lists him as CEO of 浙江华怡文化发展有限公司, a position he never held according to the public records of the company. He left the company in 2018 with the title of manager.

In November 2021, Wu was accused of plagiarism and fraud by Huaren News. He apparently marketed himself as a financial guru and gave psychic financial advice on a Weibo account with 113k followers. He appears to have been connected to the fortune teller 妙啊啊.

Wu's father previously owned a coffee shop, now bankrupt. Wu has used his Weibo account to sell coffee beans to fans.

Wu does not have any known employment at present. Besides coffee beans, he has also sold other products on his Weibo account including sunglasses.

Family

Wu is divorced with one child. During his divorce between 2014-2016, his mother sued him for funds borrowed to purchase real estate during his marriage. In China, marriage law stipulates that assets cannot be split in a divorce if debts exist. The judge found signs that mother/son edited the loan agreements multiple times without the knowledge of his ex-wife. Wu and his mother apparently colluded to cheat his ex-wife out of a fair division of assets in their divorce.

Fandom Activities

Wu became known in the fandom during Li Xuezheng's crusade due to his large account and "righteous bystander" persona, as well as his claims to ties with prestigious CCP figures.

In early January 2022, a few days before Li was muted, Wu did a livestream in which he apparently claimed insider knowledge about Zhang Zhehan. He stated that Zhang was practicing singing, writing songs, and aware of the support of fans.

Shortly after Zhang Sanjian's appearance Wu began to post openly in support of the teashop and the IG. When the Golden Shield Cloud Institute account appeared, Wu was one of the first to openly claim that it was run by Li Xuezheng.

In June 2022, Wu claimed that he was being personally target by Gong Jun. He claimed to have the ability to make Gong disappear from the entertainment industry if he continued in the alleged harassment of him and his friends. Wu did not use Gong's name in his post, but many netizens tagged Gong in their reposts. Wu subsequently deleted this post.

In August 2022, Wu claimed to have made a trip to Beijing to meet with Li Xuezheng. He posted a photo with Li, the authenticity and date of which has never been verified. Netizens pointed out that in December 2021, Li openly invited a famous anti to have tea with him at his office, as he was open to discussing face-to-face their differences and points of view. Wu's account was muted shortly after.

After he was unmuted that same month, Wu enabled paid subscriptions to his account. At the same time, he continued to make claims that he graduated from Tsinghua University.

In September 2022, in a selfie that Wu apparently took in a public restroom, he was found to be using a bootlegged Goyard phone case.

In October 2022, Wu posted on Weibo claiming to relay a private message from Zhang Zhehan saying he didn't want to return to the entertainment industry.

Since mid 2022, after his real background and identity were revealed, Wu's Weibo account has become solely dedicated to calling Gong Jun slurs and promoting his own image. He likes to post topless photos and selfies of himself, while taking part in smear campaigns against Gong Jun. He continues to claim that he is being personally targeted by Gong.

In early 2023, Wu announced that he was coming out with a photobook of himself and recording a single. The announcements were largely met with derision. Wu insisted his detractors were organized and paid for by Gong Jun's team.
