AvenueX, AveX, an aspiring YouTube influencer mostly covering Chinese entertainment. She has over 80k subscribers.

Zhang Zhehan

In the first half of 2021, AvenueX made money from selling Word of Honor merch and creating reaction videos for the show. After 813, she slandered Zhang Zhehan publicly and in her private Discord group. She disseminated a number of false information regarding Yasukuni and Zhang Zhehan, and continued to comment on this issue until Li Xuezheng's appearance publicly disproved the false allegations against Zhang. In December, many viewers called on AvenueX to retract and apologize for the misinformation she previously spread about Zhang, appeals which she ignored. She subsequently shut down all discussion of Zhang Zhehan in her server.

Her statements were responsible for many overseas viewers believing that Zhang Zhehan had committed a serious offense against Chinese national sentiment.

AvenueX private Discord server:

Transphobia

In December 2021, a member of AvenueX's Discord server made an openly transphobic statement in the gossip channel. This is in direct violation of server rules. When called out for the transphobia, the member continued to express similar sentiments and attacked other members for their activity in the server.

When other server members expressed their discomfort and asked mods to intervene, mods stated that the offending member would be warned privately, asked members to stop derailing the gossip thread, and shut down all further discussion. When a member stated their feelings about how the issue was handled, they were warned for baiting. Members were told several times by mods and other members to "move on".

No action was taken against the member who made the transphobic remark. Discord members later alleged that server rules were changed to protect the member, and that members who protested again the transphobia were kicked from the server[1].
