镜周刊, Mirror Media is a Taiwanese media company. It was founded in 2016 as an eponymous tabloid magazine, and also owns the subsidiaries Mirror TV, Mirror News, Mirror Fiction, Mirror Voice and MBRAVO.[1]

During 813, Mirror Media published a number of articles repeating the rumors on Weibo and calling Zhang Zhehan "pro-Japan".[2][3][4] Besides the very inflammatory language used, these articles also contain a number of factual errors including but not limited to:

  • The wedding at Nogi Shrine was in 2019 (it was in 2018).
  • Dewi Sukarno is associated with the Chinese genocide in Indonesia (her husband was pro-China).
  • Called Zhang "Kris Wu 2.0" (Kris Wu was indicted for actual crimes).
  • He painted a Japanese military flag on a car he owned (the photo was of a car parked on the side of a road in Japan).

Later in August and early September 2021, Mirror Media published two articles claiming that Zhao Wei's cancellation and disappearance was the fault of Zhang Zhehan.[5][6]

On April 30, 2022, Mirror Media reported on the divorce letter posted by the Zhangzhehan_super3 Instagram account.[7] Besides the contents of the letter, the article also mentions that Zhang is selling tea and merch, and that his necklace is suspected to be unsold merch from another artist. At least one of the screencaps used in the article comes from a Zhang Zhehan anti, as the watermark uses a known slur to refer to Zhang.

On May 4, 2022, Mirror Media reported on the divorce video posted by the Zhangzhehan_super3 Instagram account.[8] Besides reporting on the video, the article repeated the claim that Zhang Zhehan took photos at Yasukuni and that Mrs. Dewi is anti-China.

On May 12, 2022, Mirror Media published an article[9] attributing posts made by various Zhang Sanjian Weibo accounts like Muses and 我的好朋友绿色蔬菜 to Zhang Zhehan himself. The article reported on the EHzZ plagiarism of Noko, its very expensive blind box that contains two t-shirts of random sizes, and claimed that the old photos the accounts posted were over-edited and a "copy-cat" of another actor Luo Yunxi's look.

Despite Mirror Media's propensity for reporting on Chinese Internet gossip, they did not publish any articles on Li Xuezheng, Zhang Zhehan's police report, nor his audio interview.
