中国人民政治协商会议, 政协, Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, a political advisory body in China.

Its independent members are selected from a wide range of industries and enterprises, and can include politicians, business people, academics, athletes, entertainers, etc. There is a national committee and regional committees. The former serve for 5-year terms, the latter is also usually 5 years but can be shorter.
