中时新闻网, the China Times is a daily Chinese-language newspaper published in Taiwan. It is one of the four largest newspapers in Taiwan. It is owned by Want Want, which also owns TV stations CTV and CTiTV.[1]

During the first half of 2021, China Times published several articles about Word of Honor in their entertainment section.

After 813, China Times published many articles[2][3][4][5] repeating slander spread against Zhang Zhehan on Weibo, including but not limited to:

  • He visited Yasukuni. The articles use the phrase 参访 which specifically refers to visit a place with intent and purpose (such as a museum).
  • He took obscene photos with a mermaid statue.
  • He sat on the grave of a respected historical figure.
  • Confused Sukarno (Dewi Sukarno's husband) with Suharto.
  • His colleagues in the industry called him arrogant.
  • He is pro-Japan.

During this period, China Times also published an article[6] about Zhao Wei's cancellation that attributes it to Zhang Zhehan's actions.

China Times did not report on any events relating to Zhang Zhehan during Li Xuezheng's activism on Weibo, including his police report and audio interview.

Beginning in April 2022, China Times began to report on the activities of the Zhangzhehan_super3 Instagram, publishing a number of articles[7][8] claiming that Zhang Zhehan was trying to make a comeback. They published articles reporting on both the divorce letter[9] and the divorce video[10], as well as the ZSJ biking trip.
